Raschig Ring Packing – Cost-Effective and Corrosion-Resistant, Compatible with Various Absorption Towers

Raschig ring packing is one of the earliest developed and most widely used types of random packing. It consists of cylindrical elements with equal height and diameter, featuring a simple structure, easy fabrication, as well as excellent heat resistance and chemical stability. Large Raschig rings (with a diameter over 100 mm) are typically stacked in a structured pattern, while those (with a diameter below 75 mm) are typically randomly packed.

Raschig ring packing is mainly utilized in gas-liquid mass transfer processes across chemical, metallurgical, and environmental protection industries, including absorption towers, scrubbing systems, distillation columns, cooling towers, and desulfurization units.

Features
  • High mass transfer efficiency. Raschig rings offer high capacity and low resistance, allowing gas and liquid to pass freely with uniform distribution, thereby enhancing mass transfer performance.
  • Strong anti-clogging capability. With an open structure, Raschig ring packing is less prone to liquid and dust accumulation, making it suitable for conditions involving dust or viscous substances.
  • Cost-Effective. Featuring a classic structure, simple fabrication and low cost, it is suitable for mass production, and offering excellent cost performance.
  • Flexible material options. Available in plastic, stainless steel, ceramic, and other materials to meet various temperature, corrosion resistance, and pressure needs.
