Polyhedral Hollow Ball – Multi-Blade Structure for High Efficiency

Plastic polyhedral hollow balls are made of heat-resistant, chemically stable plastic materials. Each consists of two hemispheres that form a complete sphere. The surface of each hemisphere features several semi-fan-shaped blades, with the upper and lower blades arranged in a staggered pattern. This design makes polyhedral hollow balls lighter, with lower airflow and flow resistance, and good surface hydrophilicity.

In a packed tower, the scrubbing liquid is sprayed onto the polyhedral hollow balls, forming a liquid film on their surfaces and allowing the exhaust gas to fully contact and react with the scrubbing liquid.

Features
  • Large specific surface area. The multi-blade, perforated structure provides a large gas–liquid contact area.
  • Thorough gas–liquid contact. Liquid readily forms and renews a liquid film on the ball surface, helping improve mass-transfer efficiency.
  • High void fraction. The large gas-flow space provides good gas-flow performance.
  • Low pressure drop. Low gas-flow resistance reduces system operating energy consumption.
