Cascade Mini Ring Packing – Low Pressure Drop, High Throughput

Cascade mini ring packing (CMR) has a low height-to-diameter ratio, with windowing and inward-curved blades on the ring wall and tapered flanging at one end. Its primary function is to ensure thorough gas-liquid contact within the tower.

Cascade mini ring packing is primarily used for acid and alkaline exhaust gas treatment, wastewater treatment plant odor control, desulfurization, and flue gas scrubbing. Plastic, metal, or ceramic materials can be selected based on the corrosiveness and temperature of the process medium and mechanical strength requirements.

Features

High throughput. The low height-to-diameter ratio and large vertical openings reduce obstruction of gas-phase flow paths, helping to increase gas and liquid loading capacity.
High mass-transfer efficiency. Flanging, windowing, and internal ribs create points for liquid collection and redistribution, promoting liquid-film renewal and uniform gas-liquid contact.
Good clogging resistance. The open structure allows entrained solids to pass through the packing bed with the liquid, reducing the risk of liquid holdup, scaling, and clogging.
Flexible material options. Available in PP, PVC, PVDF, stainless steel, carbon steel, ceramic, and other materials to suit different temperature, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength requirements.
