Structured Packing – Enabling Full and Orderly Gas–Liquid Contact

Structured packing is typically composed of corrugated sheets, wire gauze, or other regularly arranged structural elements. Adjacent corrugated sheets are generally arranged in crossed directions, forming numerous continuous and orderly inclined flow channels inside the column. Structured packing is mainly used in absorption, scrubbing, distillation, stripping, and other gas–liquid mass transfer processes.
