Super Intalox Saddle Ring – Upgraded Structure, Improved Efficiency

Super Intalox Saddle Ring Packing is an upgraded version of Intalox saddle ring packing, with the curved profile changed to a wavy or serrated shape and additional openings added at the center of the curved liquid channels. These structural changes not only increase the contact clearances within the packing but also improve gas–liquid flow and distribution in the packing bed.

Several Super Intalox saddle rings of different sizes arranged together
Features
  • Irregular saddle-surface structure. The surface orientation changes continuously, promoting liquid dispersion and liquid film renewal.
  • Resists nesting. Compared with ring packings such as Raschig rings, the packing elements are less likely to nest within one another.
  • Provides relatively uniform liquid distribution. The saddle-shaped curved surfaces guide the liquid in different directions, reducing channeling and localized dry zones.
  • Ensures thorough gas–liquid contact. The liquid spreads over the curved surfaces, making effective use of the packing surface.
