IE Expo China 2025 was successfully held from April 21 to 23, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Against the backdrop of the ongoing "Dual Carbon" strategy and the advancement of ecological civilization, this year’s exhibition opened on a grand scale. Spanning nearly 190,000 square meters across 16 exhibition halls, it brought together more than 2,200 enterprises from 22 countries and regions, as well as international pavilions from 10 countries and regions – including Germany, the UK, the U.S., Norway, the Netherlands, Japan, and South Korea – convened in Shanghai. The event comprehensively showcased innovative technologies and integrated solutions across multiple environmental governance sectors such as water, air, solid waste, and soil.

During the China's 14th Five-Year Plan period, ecological civilization has entered a critical stage focused on coordinated efforts in carbon reduction, pollution control, and green development, driving the demand for high-quality environmental solutions. As the world’s second largest and Asia's leading professional environmental protection expo, IE Expo China remains a core platform for tracking industry trends and linking government and business resources.
This year's expo and its concurrent conferences welcomed Yu Huiwen, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment; Xia Kejia, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal Government; along with numerous academicians and prominent figures from the environmental sector. Delegations from ecological and environmental authorities of 10 provinces and municipalities – including Shanghai, Guangdong, Anhui, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hunan, Shenzhen, Gansu, and Chongqing – attended to conduct in-depth research focused on key topics such as pollution prevention and control, exploration of carbon neutrality pathways, and market-oriented mechanisms for environmental governance.
As Asia's annual environmental industry event, IE Expo China 2025 brought together 2,279 enterprises from across the entire environmental protection value chain, covering water and wastewater, solid waste treatment and resource utilization, air pollution control, soil remediation, environmental monitoring, and carbon neutrality. With an exhibition area of 187,000 square meters, the Expo once again confirmed its benchmark status in Asia’s environmental sector.
